Child Protective Services

The Division of Child Protection Services provides a number of services to support families and children in South Dakota.

Training programs are available to:

  • Parents wanting to increase their parenting skills.
  • Foster and adoptive parents; assuring qualified placement resources for children through licensing services to ensure their well-being and safety.

Working together with families in difficult situations by:Bubbles

  • Receiving and assessing reports of child abuse and neglect.
  • Connecting parents with the needed resources allowing them the opportunity to increase their ability to keep children safe.
