Victims' Assistance Program

The Victims’ Assistance Program administers state and federal grants that provide funding to programs that offer shelter, advocacy, crisis counseling and other victims’ services to sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking and other violent crime victims.

Crime Victims’ Compensation Program

The Crime Victims' Compensation Program provides monetary assistance to victims of violent crimes. This program, administered by the Department of Public Safety, can pay a maximum of $15,000 for expenses incurred as a direct result of personal injury to, or death of, a victim of state, tribal or federal crimes.

Text-to-9-1-1 is not yet 100 percent activated in Todd County.  People texting 9-1-1 in this county will receive a message stating that text service is unavailable and they will be directed to make a 9-1-1 call instead.
