PIERRE, S.D. – Beginning April 8, 2008, staff from the Department of Social Services will be working at the Buffalo Regional Medical Clinic the second Tuesday of every month from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. MST.

Staff will be on site to take applications for the following programs:

• Medicaid,
• Food Stamps,
• Medicare Savings Program and
• Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

Staff will be available to help answer questions about the following programs:

• Low Income Energy Assistance (LIEAP),
• Child Care Services and
• Sales Tax on Food Refund Program.

“Our recipients in and around the Buffalo community need help from our staff and it is our responsibility to assist them with application processes and answer any questions they have about our services,” stated Secretary Deb Bowman. “We see this as a great way of providing customer service in this area.”
