Event to honor foster parents in Sioux Falls area as part of Foster Parent Appreciation and Awareness Month
PIERRE, S.D. – Four Sioux Falls-area foster parents will receive makeovers as part of a Foster Parent Appreciation and Awareness Month celebration at the Empire Mall on Sunday, May 17.
The public was invited to nominate a deserving foster parent to win a makeover, courtesy of retailers at the Empire Mall. The winners will reveal the results of their makeovers on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Macy’s Court.
All foster parents, their families, and anyone interested in recognizing or honoring the work of foster parents in South Dakota is invited and encouraged to attend. In addition to viewing the reveal, attendees will have an opportunity to write a thank-you card to a foster family, listen to a reading of the Governor’s Executive Proclamation and learn more about becoming a foster parent.
