PIERRE, S.D. –The South Dakota Department of Social Services is now accepting applications for the 2012 Access and Visitation grant. Applications must be postmarked by July 15, 2012, to be considered for funding.

The South Dakota Visitation Grant Advisory Group will meet to review the grant applications. Applicants will be notified at a later time of the location and date of the meeting. The group encourages all interested persons to attend. Applicants must provide 12 copies of their applications for distribution at the meeting.

Applications must be mailed by July 15, 2012 to:

Grant funds will be awarded to successful applicants for the purpose of providing scholarships to income-eligible families to help support and facilitate noncustodial parent access to and visitation with their children.
