Indigent Medication Program

The indigent medication program provides temporary financial support for psychotropic medication and/or lab costs to eligible individuals while other funding options are identified. Please contact your local community mental health center, accredited addition treatment facility or the Division of Behavioral Health for more information.

Medications and/or services covered

  • Psychotropic medications or medications to treat mental illnesses.
  • Medications that are used along with psychotropic medications that decrease the side effects associated with psychotropic medications.
  • Medication assistance treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders, to include cessation and/or maintenance treatment.
  • Laboratory work that lets the physician know that the medication dosage is at a therapeutic level.
