South Dakota residents who apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. The card works like a debit card, and the benefits are loaded onto the card electronically.
The South Dakota EBT card can be used to purchase eligible food items at authorized retailers like grocery stores and farmer’s markets. You can also use it for online grocery orders with participating retailers.
If you think you have become a victim of fraud, of if your card has been lost or stolen, you should cancel your card and request a replacement card immediately using the ebtEDGE Mobile App, the ebtEDGE Cardholder Portal or by calling Cardholder Customer Service at 800.604.5099.
