The South Dakota Medicaid Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) is comprised of individuals who are current or former Medicaid recipients and individuals with direct experience supporting Medicaid recipients (family members and paid or unpaid caregivers of those enrolled in Medicaid), to advise the State regarding their experience with the Medicaid program on matters of concern related to policy development and matters related to the effective administration of the Medicaid program. View the bylaws for the governance of the BAC for more details.
Members who are interested in serving on the BAC may fill out a nomination form and email it to Ashley Lauing, Policy Strategy Manager. The Medicaid Director is responsible for the selection and appointment of BAC members and will utilize the nomination forms to inform their decision.
